White River Bowhunters Club Championship Rules

White River Bowhunters will crown an overall club male champion in the following classes: Open Class, Bowhunter Class, Youth Class & Primitive Class.  A overall club female champion will be named in Open Class, Bowhunter Class & Youth Class. Their photo along with a brief article about them will be listed on the club website. There will also be a “Champions Picture” in the club house with their pictures on it.

  1. Shoots- There will be 3 club shoots used to determine the overall club champion. The Club Indoor Championship Feb 27 – the Club Field Championship June 5 – the Jamboree, Sept 11-12.  You do not have to shoot all 3 shoots however you only acquire points when you shoot(Note:  At the Field Championship shoot on June 5 you do not have to shoot 28 targets.  The 1st 14 targets will be used to determine your score in the Overall Club Championship.)  
     
  1. Class- To win the overall championship in your class, you must shoot in the same class
    with the type of equipment that is legal for each of the  shoots you shoot in. The Indoor and Field shoots will follow NFAA rules while the Jamboree will follow IBO rules. 
     
  1. Points- There will be Points awarded in each class to the top 5 scores shot. Because of ties this could include more than 5 people. The top score in each shoot will receive 5 points. Second would receive 4 points. Third 3 –etc.
     
  1. Ties- The X-ring will not be scored in the club championship. It will however be recorded for all 3 of  the shoots. In the event that there is a tie in the points after the 3 shoots, The total of all 3 shoots X-rings will be added together to break the tie.
     
  1. Peer Grouping- You must declare when you sign up for each of the shoots that you are competing for the club championship. You will be paired with another club member , whenever possible, one in your same class.
     
  1. Membership- You must be a club member in good standing with a paid membership to compete for the club championship.
     
  1. Cancellations- There will be no make up dates.  If for some reason such as weather –etc., one of the shoots must be cancelled  a make up shoot date would be posted. If the Club does not cancel the shoot, then the shoot must be shot, rain or shine.
     
  1. Final decisions- White River Bowhunters Inc. reserves the right to make any and all decisions regarding the club championship. All decisions will be made by an appointed committee. These decisions will be final.
